Juho Kuosmanen (b. 1979) is a Finnish filmmaker. He studied at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, where his graduation film, The Painting Sellers was nominated for five Finnish film Academy Awards. His feature debut, the boxing drama The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard strand at Cannes in 2016. His 2021 follow-up, the nineties-set train journey romance Compartment No. 6, screened in competition at the festival and won the Grand Prix. Kuosmanen has also acted on stage in Finland and directed operas alongside the conductors Sakari Oramo and Santtu-Matias Rouvali.
