Aleksei German Jr
Director
Aleksei German Jr is a Russian director, son of eminent Russian filmmaker Aleksei German and screenwriter Svetlana Karmalita, and a grandson of writer Yuri German. He graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 2001 and subsequently worked at the Lenfilm film studio. His film Under Electric Clouds was screened in the main competition of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival and earned him the award for Achievement in Directing at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2015.
