Kaltrina Krasniqi is an award-winning Kosovan director and researcher. After graduating in film direction in Pristina, she continued her education at the University of California, Los Angeles. Between 2000 and 2018, she completed eight shorts, including Sarabande (2018) and Rolling to Brussels. Her feature debut, Vera Dreams of the Sea, premiered in the Venice Film Festival 2021 and was awarded the Grand Prix at Tokyo International Film Festival in the same year. Krasniqi is a founding member of the Kosovo Oral History Initiative, a digital archive collating personal histories of Kosovan citizens, and a co-founder of the popular Pristina café-bookshop Dit’ e Nat’.
