Shalva Gedevanishvili (1897-1990) was a Georgian director. After studying law at the Sorbonne in the 1920s, he met and collaborated with the famous avant-garde cinematographer René Clair. Returning the Tbilisi in 1926, he embarked on a long career that included films such as Arsena (1937), the first Georgian film musical, Keto and Kote (1948), and Zvigenis kbili (1959).
