The Diamond Arm
Бриллиантовая рука

Touted as Russia’s most beloved comedy, this chaotic cult classic lands its characters in continually absurd and hilarious situations. Side-splitting from start to finish, it follows Semyon Gorbunkov, ‘an ordinary Soviet citizen’, who finds himself caught up in an international jewel smuggling conspiracy. One of the all-time leaders at the Soviet box office, the film draws its inspiration from a real-life news story about a group of Swiss smugglers who transported jewels in a plaster cast.
