Vitaliy Mansky was born in Lviv, Ukraine. He graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) and since 1989 he has shot more than 30 films. His works have been presented at more than 500 international film festivals and he has been awarded with more than 100 awards and prizes in Russia and abroad. President of the documentary film festival Artdocfest, he is most well-known for his films Under the Sun (2015) and Putin’s Witnesses (2018). Since 2014 he has lived and worked in Latvia.
