Olga, a research scientist, lives and works in St Petersburg with a young son and a fulfilling job. Her personal life lacks romance and support. She has a married lover, who she hopes will leave his family. Her neighbours too are in unhappy relationships. One day her fortunes change and a potential prince charming appears. Can new love turn into something substantial, and should one make sacrifices or hold out for something better?
Elena Safanova (looking like Jean Seberg in A bout de Souffle) plays Olga a woman unsure of which man to choose in her life. To be fair of the two men she chooses both are pretty naff (I'm sure she could have done a lot better) the film is about the choices she makes. The film also has a superb score which is by Vladimir Deskevitch but sounds like Georges Delerue...it gets right inside your head.
