Based in Glasgow, Samizdat is Scotland’s only festival dedicated to the best of classic and contemporary Eastern European and Central Asian cinema. Klassiki is proud to return as the festival’s online partner in 2024. From 3 – 24 October, we will be streaming a selection of titles from this year’s programme, including Olga Chernykh’s award-winning war documentary A Picture to Remember, cult Estonian sci-fi horror Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel, a selection of Hungarian animations from the 1980s, plus highlights from the festival’s short film competition.
